Art Deco style began with the famous 1925 Paris World Exhibition and later dominated virtually all aspects of life. It is true that at that time no one used the term “Art Deco”, such a concept of style actually appeared 40 years later.
No area of life avoided the influence of that style. Architecture, interior design, painting, sculpture, graphics, photography, furniture, lamps, cars, yachts, jewellery, fashion …
The second revival of Art Deco took place relatively late. The first major English publication appeared in 1968. It was entitled “Art Deco of the 20s and 30s” and was written by Bevis Hillier. From that moment on the art from the turn of the 20s and 30s has been in fashion.
